Installation Steps

Open the downloaded file

Find Clipp.dmg in your Downloads folder and double-click to open it.

Install Clipp

Drag the Clipp icon into your Applications folder.

Launch Clipp

Open Clipp from your Applications folder or using Spotlight (Cmd+Space).

Grant permissions

Clipp will ask for a few permissions to work properly. See all permissions →

macOS Security Notice

When you first launch Clipp, macOS Gatekeeper may show a warning because the app is downloaded from the internet. This is normal and expected.

If you see "Clipp can't be opened":

1. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security

2. Scroll down to find "Clipp was blocked"

3. Click "Open Anyway"

4. Click "Open" in the confirmation dialog

Clipp may also request Accessibility permission to detect clipboard changes. Grant this in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.

Accessibility

Required to monitor your clipboard for new items and enable global hotkeys. This lets Clipp detect when you copy something and respond to keyboard shortcuts from any app.
